Invitation to the World Youth Climbing Championship in Bulgaria

From 18-th to 21-th of September in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria will take place the World Youth Climbing Championship. Invitation to the event.



The competition will be o­n new modern artificial wall, which has the following dimensions: height – 12,5 m; width – 17,2 m; overhanging – 9 m; overall area – about 350 m2.

INVITATION

The World Youth Championship competitions will take place in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria from 19th to 21st September, 2003, difficulty and speed category.

The World Youth Championship 2003 is organized by the ICC in accordance with the ICC General, Difficulty and Speed regulations.

2. Participation/ Team quotas Each national federation: 4 male and 4 female competitors for each category in speed and in difficulty.
Note: All competitors must be registered by their national federations o­n the attached registration form. These competitors for whom their belonging Federations have not applied for International Licenses, will not be allowed to compete.
Note: The age categories are the same as the UIAA/ICC has fixed:
Youth A: 1987-1986
Youth B: 1989-1988
Juniors: 1985-1984

4. Deadline for registration: Not later than September 01, 2003.

5. Registration For the registration o­n Thursday, September 18th, 2003, it is necessary for all team managers to bring the passports or ID-cards of the competitors.

Hostel “Trapezitsa” – o­ne star, 79, Stefan Stambolov str. Situated in the center of the town, accommodates 18 double rooms, 7 for three people and 3 for four people. Prices: o­ne bed in a double room – 13 EURO, o­ne bed in a room for three / four people – 11 EURO; all prices include breakfast.

Hotel “Momina Krepost” – Ksilifor – Two stars. Situated 5 km. from the town center, accommodates 31 double and 16 rooms for three people. Prices: o­ne bed in a double room – 13 EURO, o­ne bed in a room for three people – 11 EURO; all prices include breakfast.

Hotel “Etar” – Two stars. Situated in the center of town. 30 standard double rooms and 7 luxury double rooms. Prices: 1 bed in standard double room – 15 Euro, standard single room – 20 Euro, 1 bed in luxury double room – 20 Euro, luxury single room – 30 Euro. All prices include breakfast.

Hotel “Neptune” – Three stars Situated in the near center area, accommodates 12 double, o­ne room for three people and 13 single rooms. Prices: o­ne bed in a double room and in the room for three people – 17 Euro, single room – 25 Euro; all prices include breakfast.

Hotel “Alegro” – Three stars. Situated in the center of the town, accommodates 12 double rooms, o­ne single room and two flats / in each flat is possible to accommodate three persons/. Prices: double room – 21 Euro, single room – 31 Euro, flat - 62 Euro; all prices include breakfast.

Grand-hotel “Veliko Tarnovo” – Four stars. Accommodates 80 beds. Prices: o­ne bed in a double room – 23 ?uro, single room – 30 Euro; all prices include breakfast.

7. Competition Venue The competition will be held in The Palace of Culture and Sport “Vassil Levski” in Veliko Tarnovo.

8. Travel Details

By plane: Fly to Sofia, from the airport take a bus No 284,84 till hotel “Pliska”, there from by bus No 213 or a taxi to the station, and from there by train or bus to Veliko Tarnovo

By train: Travel to Sofia and there change to Gorna Oryahovitsa, and from there take bus N 10 or a taxi to Veliko Tarnovo

By car or bus: After you have reached Sofia, take the highway Hemuss from Sofia to Varna. Veliko Tarnovo is situated o­n the 240rd km. from Sofia.

If arranged in advance, the organizers can provide bus transport from the place of arrival in Bulgaria to Veliko Tarnovo and back, and inside transport in the town during the event – every morning and night from the hotel to the Palace of Culture and Sports, and back. The price is 26 Euro per person. Deadline for order: September 01, 2003.
