From 8 to 10 of October 2004 the Bulgarian town Sliven was host of the Fourth International Mountain Film Festival. The vice-mayor of Sliven Dr. Penko Penkov was on the opening and closing ceremony. For the second time such event was held in Sliven. (Two festivals were held in town of Troian). Hopefully this would become a tradition as the organizers promised.
On Saturday, October 9-th 2004, on Shaan Kaya, the Crimea, Ukraine, at the big crowd of people the presentation of a new multi-pitch route "Atlant M" took place.
Bryan Law, Ivo Ninov and Gab McNeely spent over 300 hours working to clean the route. Over 200 fixed pieces of gear were removed, weighing approximately 30 pounds.
It gives us great pleasure to inform you about Sliven International Mountain Film Festival.
The Festival, being held in Sliven, is the first of its kind in Balkan region, home to the very nice mountains.
In some days, on 1-st of August 2004, starts Deep Water Soloing & Boulder open meeting, in traditional place for this type of climbing in Bulgaria - Kamen Briag (Stone Beach).

Yesterday, 18-th September, in 21:00 in Interhotel V.Tarnovo it was held the technical conference of the World Youth Championship. Currently are going qualifications in all categories in difficulty.
