The press-conference was held o­n 16 September. There were Alexey Lashtilin as representative of Ministry of Youth and Sport, the mayor of Veliko Tarnovo Rumen Rashev, Alexander Piratinski - leader of the Russian delegation and representative of ICC, the vice president of FBAC Nikolay Panayotov, the secretary of organizational committee Iliana Petrova, tech.director of the championship Gueorgui Dimitrov and others.

The Word Championship in Bulgaria will be the tenth in turn. There are maked 342 registrations what is a record number in comparison with all championships up to now. The number of countries is also a record - 34 (Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, Georgia, Finland, France, Greece, Germany, Great Britain, Holland, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Macedonia, New Zealand, Niderland, Norway, Poland, Russia, Serbia-Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, USA, Venezuela).

Bulgaria will be represented in all age-groups by altogether 24 competitors, training under guidance of Kalin Guarbov and Milen Videnovski.

All starts during the competition will be held in The Palace of Culture and Sport “Vassil Levski” , where is built a big artificial wall see details and pictures in the previous material for this competition in Climbing Guide). On the map is showed the easest way to reach it, ingoing in town from the road to Sofia. The place is indicated with number 17.
