The Bulgarian expedition to Mount Everest 8848 m will depart on 29-th of March from Sofia. It will take total of 64 days, or 62 from Kathmandu to Kathmandu. Here is day-by-day schedule.
Members of the Bulgarian Mount Everest Expedition in 2004 by Chinese route from North are Metodi Savov (Leader who lost parts of his legs during an Mt Everest climb in 1984 and have now to select a team to storm the world's highest peak without oxygen), Nikolay Petkow (Everest 1984, Dhaulagiri 1997), Ivan Valchev (Everest 1984, Makalu 1998 without oxygen), Petko Totev (Broad peak 2001), Stanimir Zhelyazkov(Broad peak 2001), Ivan Temelkov, Doychin Boyanov, Christo Christov (Thalay Sagar 2003, new route), Ms. Karina Salova (Shisha Pangma Foresummit 1999, physician), Ms. Cveta Misheva. Zveta Misheva will attempt again in Spring 2004 to become the first Bulgarian woman to Summit Mt Everest. In Summer 2003, she reached peak Kaufmann (of yore peak Lenin 7134 m) as part of an groupe organized by Federation of the Bulgarian Alpine Clubs.
